EgyptAir is standing by an unconventional short article released on its in-flight magazine, which the writer claims was centered on an interview with actress Drew Barrymore.
The job interview, which includes what several say are unlikely quotes by the 43-yr-outdated actress, went viral Wednesday right after author and political analyst Adam Baron tweeted out pictures of the article calling it “surreal.”
“This job interview with Drew Barrymore in the EgyptAir in flight journal is, ummm, surreal,” Baron tweeted.
The posting is oddly opinionated and is riddled with misspellings and grammatical problems. It qualified prospects with a description of Barrymore as “being unstable in her interactions” and quoted her as declaring that motherhood was “the most critical job in my life.” The posting also said the “Santa Clarita Diet” star experienced failed relationships due to the fact her dad and mom divorced.
“It is acknowledged that Barrymore had practically 17 interactions, engagements and marriages psychologists imagine that her conduct is only all-natural since she lacked the male position product in her existence following her parents’ divorce,” the report study.
Another passage discusses Barrymore’s excess weight just after supplying beginning, and in an additional purported quotation, Barrymore celebrates women’s achievements in “the West” since they tackle responsibilities that adult males simply cannot.
“Women of all ages exert huge endeavours that guys are incapable of exerting thanks to their various commitments and obligations,” the posting quoted her as indicating.
EgyptAir introduced a statement on Twitter thanking the article’s creator, Aida Tekla, for “the clarification.”
The airline explained Tekla was the previous president of the Hollywood Foreign Push Association. Tekla tweeted that the interview took spot in New York and is “genuine and far from pretend.” On the other hand, her tweet was riddled with misspellings — including Barrymore’s identify.
A spokesperson for Barrymore instructed the Huffington Post that the star “did not participate” in the job interview and that “her group is performing with the airline PR team.” Barrymore has not instantly commented on the write-up.
A rep for Barrymore did not instantly return Fox News’ ask for for comment.
